Different Baby Names
With all the different baby names out there to choose from, finding the right one for your new arrival can be a daunting task. Many parents these days are opting to choose a name for their new baby that is unique. Finding a different baby name can be as easy as looking through a list, or even making one up.
There are no rules for baby names. Anything is okay to put on a birth certificate -- although naming your precious bundle “Save Rainforest Smith” or “Tax Deduction Johnson” might be going a bit too far. When choosing a baby name that is different from those most widely chosen, think of some names that you find interesting and then ask yourself if you would mind having any of those names yourself. Say them out loud or sign them on a piece of paper a few times.
Some married couples opt to use a maiden name for their baby's first name when one spouse changes his or her last name to the other one's after marriage. Long ago it was always the wife who changed her last name, but these days that might not always be the case!. If the maiden name sounds different yet perfectly acceptable as a first name, why not? It can be a great way of honoring your ancestry. Finally, keep your eyes and ear open for ideas and have fun when looking for a different baby name. Use your best judgment, and you'll be sure to find a name that pleases everyone…especially your child!
